On Sunday 20 October, the Lutheran community gathered at Alondra Residences to witness Bishop Paul Smith dedicate the new boutique retirement community to the glory of God.

After more than 16 years as the warm, welcoming voice and friendly, familiar face of Lutheran Services, Jill Huf retired on 1 October 2019. Jill has wonderfully filled roles in reception and administration at the Support Centre since 2003.

Aub Muller, who passed September 2019, was above all a faithful servant of God and of the Lutheran Church. Any listing of his achievements in the secular and business world reveals the many skills and talents which he also put at the service of the church he loved.

On Sunday the 13th of October, there was an extraordinary event in the life of our Lutheran Church’s work amongst Chinese people. The recently-recognised “Queensland Asian Congregation” (QAC) extended a call to a Pastor.

Ministry & Mission are sponsoring two free workshops that will essentially provide an opportunity for attendees to grow in their capacity in proclaiming the gospel and toward certification. 

We operate as a number of departments and agencies, but LCAQD is ‘one church’. Paul Pantelimon shares an example of how these different sections of our LCAQD community are helping each other out.

In reflecting upon the life of Pastor George Rosendale, we find his mission has an impact not only his community, but how the gospel is communicated to both indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.
