LCAQD Synod 2025

Thanks were offered to everyone who helped make the 2025 Convention of Synod a success, including our wonderful volunteers.  

On Synod Saturday morning, Bishop Mark Vainikka reflected on his written report, and spoke of the District’s guiding principle: One Church, One Purpose, Many Ministries. 

Following the Friday morning opening Synod worship, the following leaders from Qld and FNQ greeted the convention.

St Andrews Lutheran Church, Brisbane, will receive $25,000 from LLL for its ‘Diverse by Design’ outreach to multcultural communities.

This year’s Synod focuses on our strategic charter, and at its heart are five open doors; doors Christ has already unlocked for us.

This year’s Synod will be held at Peace Lutheran College, 50-60 Cowley St, Kamerunga, Cairns,  Friday 30 May-Sunday 1 June 2025. 

Sponsor Lutheran Lay People’s League in conjunction with the LCAQD are excited to share the winners in the 2025 LCAQD Synod Art Competition.

To book a place at the 57th Annual LCAQD Convention of the Synod, please do so by 12 noon on Friday, 16 May 2025.

With just over a month until the LCAQD Synod and the District Pastors Conference, the end dates for registration is fast approaching!

The LCAQD  is seeking three qualified art educators from the Lutheran Education community to serve as judges for our Synod Art Competition.
