LCAQD Convention of the Synod – information for delegates

This year’s Synod will be held at Peace Lutheran College, 50-60 Cowley St, Kamerunga, Cairns,  Friday 30 May-Sunday 1 June 2025. With an early start on Friday, it is recommended to arrive in Cairns on the Thursday prior.

Book of Reports
Please see the Synod web page to download the Book of Reports, the Supplement Report, and department videos. The Book of Reports and department videos are currently available; the Supplement will be available after 23 May.

Synod offering
The 2025 Convention of the Synod offering will go to the Peace Lutheran College Service-Learning Program.

Synod dinner
Our speaker for the Synod Friday night dinner function is Shane Jurecky, Principal of Peace Lutheran College Cairns. Shane has worked in Lutheran education for the past 30 years. He will be presenting a short history of Lutheran education in Far North Queensland, entitled “Christ in the cane fields – 30 years of Lutheran education in Cairns.”
