Living Faithfully

It’s been a long, long road! And I know who has carried me the whole way: the ‘He’ who ain’t heavy, and who is my brother.

As Kelly, Madi and I wait for our baby to be born, which is (according to Kelly) hopefully sooner rather than later, we’re learning a lot about patience.

This might be hyperbolic, but I wouldn’t be surprised if heaven wasn’t a little like the Australian Conference for Lutheran Education (ACLE) in Brisbane this year.

As many of you will know, the nation of Papua New Guinea recently celebrated 50 years since its independence in 1975. However you may not know the legacy of the church’s mission to this island nation.

Welcoming is more than a smile at the door or a handshake during the passing of the peace. It is possible for people to still feel unseen, uninvited, and disconnected.

The ‘Soup for the Soul’ service was especially memorable this year for St Peter’s Lutheran Church Pittsworth as they shared a meal in fellowship with the Nobby congregation.

The Season of Creation runs from 1 September to 4 October each year. This year’s theme is ‘Peace with Creation’. Here are some ways to celebrate!
