Two new pastors were welcomed to the Queensland District at the closing of the 2026 Friday afternoon Synod session:

On Sunday 7 June 2026 LCAQD Bishop Dr Mark Vainikka delivered the Synod Sunday Sermon at St Andrews Lutheran Church Tallebudgera.

The 2026 Mission Outreach Grants were presented at this year’s Convention of the District Synod by LLL Australia CEO Karen Pienaar.

On Saturday morning, Bishop Mark Vainikka reflected on his written report as recorded in the 2026 Synod Book of Reports. 

A new church plant was received as a member of the LCA and LCAQD during the Friday morning session of the 2026 Convention of the Synod

Bishop Mark officially launched the 2026-31 Strategic Charter for LCAQD, which focuses on five open doors as a shared missional compass.

Synod delegates and visitors remembered those who served in this District ​and who have died in this past Synodical term.

The Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District (LCAQD) Convention of the Synod gathered at St Andrew’s Lutheran College, Tallebudgera.

This year’s Convention of the Synod will take place from Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June 2026 at St Andrew’s Lutheran College, Tallebudgera.
