Synod remembers the faithful who have passed

During the 2026 Convention of the Synod In Memoriam, led by Malcolm Ehrlich, Synod delegates and visitors remembered those who served in this District ​and who have died in this past Synodical term, thanking God for their faithful service to God and the church:

• Members of the Hope Vale and Wujal Wujal communities. 
• Pastors Aubrey Podlich, Marinus Hofman, Leon Philippi, Aldal Wagin, Rob Erickson, Peter Benz, Howard Schilling, Thomas Jantke and Lou Pfeiffer.
• Mrs Olga Roennfeldt and Mrs Barbara Schmidt (mother of Assistant Bishop Commission for Mission, David Schmidt).
