Blessed are the Peacemakers – A Life Changing Workshop

14 October 2019

by Anna Kneen

The up and coming Blessed are the Peacemakers, Growing in a Lifestyle of (Biblical) Reconciliation workshop is quite the mouthful to say, remember and understand! When I first heard about it 7 years ago, I didn’t think it would be of much relevance in my life: I could talk to people, voice my opinion and read the Bible all by myself. It was only when I attended a workshop that I realised the full power of the Gospel and how God works in my heart, mind and soul to infuse me with a way of living freely and lovingly.

So often in life we think we know who we are, what we want, what we are capable of, but really, all this comes from Christ and there is so much more to learn! When I attended an LCA Reconciliation Ministry workshop, I was taken on a personal journey that taught me what it is to be a peacemaker. In my view a peacemaker is someone who can walk through their life in the freedom of the Gospel, equipped to respond to conflicts as they arise.

Numerous Biblical references as well as Lutheran Theology come to life through discussion, personal reflection and role-play throughout the workshop. Not only has this workshop deepened my faith and journey with our Lord, it also equipped me to go forward and work with other people, both within our church and in the wider community!

We each have some sort of conflict in our lives because we are sinful human beings and we can’t hide from our sin. Brothers and sisters, I encourage you to come to this workshop where the Gospel is explained and really comes to life, equipping you with ways of living each and every day for the Glory of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
