On Sunday 20 October, the Lutheran community gathered at Alondra Residences to witness Bishop Paul Smith dedicate the new boutique retirement community to the glory of God.

After more than 16 years as the warm, welcoming voice and friendly, familiar face of Lutheran Services, Jill Huf retired on 1 October 2019. Jill has wonderfully filled roles in reception and administration at the Support Centre since 2003.

“I’ve learnt that there are many areas of the LCAQD that are doing really great work in spreading the love of God. This has been very encouraging to hear.”

The Royal Commission into Aged Care is an opportunity for Lutheran Services to contribute to shaping Australia’s aged care system and to improve the quality of care to older Australians.

Age-care chaplains in Lutheran Services are sometimes referred to as ‘architects of community’, as they help people maintain important connections and create new ones.
