General Synod has elected Pastor Stephen Schultz as Assistant Bishop of the LCANZ. Incumbent Assistant Bishop Neville Otto did not stand for re-election.

In the wake of the Synod’s decision to allow the ordination of both men and women in the LCANZ, I believe these words from St Paul hold deep significance for us as a church family.

Congregations across the church will be able to access the sermons prepared for Synod Sunday worship at the churchwide gatherings.

The final Synod-specific webinar for delegates will be held on 11 September. All members of the church are invited to watch the recordings of three delegate webinars.

Ross Smith, CEO of LLL, presented the 2024 Mission Outreach Grant to Our Saviour Lutheran Church Rochedale.

After the Saturday morning Synod opening worship, local elected members and other denominational leaders were invited to speak to delegates. 

Pastors, delegates, staff and visitors attended the 56th Annual Convention of Synod over the weekend, at Highfields Cultural Centre Toowoomba.
