The 57th Convention of the LCAQD Synod will be held from Fri 30 May – Sun 1 June 2025, at Peace Lutheran College Cairns.

The 2024 LCAQD Synod Draft Minutes have now been approved by the District Church Board (DCB) and are available to download.

In a post-Synod message to the church, LCANZ Bishop Paul Smith encouraged us to pause and reflect on the decisions made by the Synod.

In the wake of the Synod’s decision to allow the ordination of both men and women in the LCANZ, I believe these words from St Paul hold deep significance for us as a church family.

As we approach the Convention of General Synod in Adelaide, it’s crucial for us to reflect on our journey as a community of faith.

Ross Smith, CEO of LLL, presented the 2024 Mission Outreach Grant to Our Saviour Lutheran Church Rochedale.

After the Saturday morning Synod opening worship, local elected members and other denominational leaders were invited to speak to delegates. 

Pastors, delegates, staff and visitors attended the 56th Annual Convention of Synod over the weekend, at Highfields Cultural Centre Toowoomba.
