How do we engage with each other and the proclamation of the gospel during such a time of crisis? Worship is God coming to us (incarnationally) to heal, equip, empower and encourage us in our day-to-day mission!
Our unity is a result of the word of God reaching our shores and the embracing of the love of God for all people in a very tangible way. We sing together, pray together and eat together.
These ‘disruptive missional practices’ bring life and a sense of identity in times that seem chaotic: ‘dwelling in the word’ and ‘dwelling in the world’.
Out in the small rural town of Cooyar is the St Andrews Lutheran congregation. They may seem like your normal church, but for the past two years they have done things a little differently.
The congregation at St Andrew’s Lutheran Church came together to celebrate Pentecost. The text of John 3:16 was read in 21 languages. Can you guess what they were?
