Thanks were offered to everyone who helped make the 2025 Convention of Synod a success, including our wonderful volunteers.  

On Synod Saturday morning, Bishop Mark Vainikka reflected on his written report, and spoke of the District’s guiding principle: One Church, One Purpose, Many Ministries. 

Following the Friday morning opening Synod worship, the following leaders from Qld and FNQ greeted the convention.

St Andrews Lutheran Church, Brisbane, will receive $25,000 from LLL for its ‘Diverse by Design’ outreach to multcultural communities.

With support from an LCANZ Local Mission Fund Seed Grant, St James Lutheran Church Hervey Bay has launched the Community Connection and Growth Project.

Replenish, a retreat for women 18+, is on the calendar for the weekend 17 – 19 October 2025. The venue is Ocean Outlook at Luther Heights.

The ‘leaning tower of Bethania’ leans no more! The historic bell tower has been returned to its former glory.

On Saturday 10 May, an inspiring 586 Queenslanders braved the rain to step out at Brisbane Walk My Way to provide food, schooling and shelter to children impacted by war and poverty.
