Living Faithfully

How might we tell that a faith community is living faithfully and prayerfully? One thing that delights me is when I see people pitching in with their various gifts to share God’s love with those around them.

Bishop Mark Vainikka reflects on Psalm 137 in response to the narrative of the church as one of immigration, adjustment and growth. Our foundational narrative is about learning to sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land.

This is my first article to you, and using the vernacular of Bishop-elect Mark last edition (and also at my installation), it is in my new role as a servant to the servant of the servants of God here in Queensland. My actual title is ‘First Assistant Bishop’, but you can also just call me ‘Ben’ J
