The theme for the 2019 Queensland District Synod is ‘Lord Teach us to Pray’. The St John’s congregation in Hope Vale decided to take this a step further and make it our church theme for the recent NAIDOC (National Aboriginal Islanders Day Observance Committee) celebrations.

Ipswich Lutheran Parish welcomed delegates and visitors to LCAQD Synod 2019, which was held at the Bethany Raceview campus. Delegates at this year’s LCAQD Synod recycled 364 bottles of drinks, filling three huge bags to recycle to go towards filling 182 empty tummies.
