We have just elected a new Bishop for the Lutheran Church in Queensland and two new assistant Bishops. Bishop Paul Smith celebrates this election and these “servants of the Word”: Ben, Mark and Nathan.

Pastor Mark Vainikka will be the new Bishop of the Queensland District, following today’s election by Synod delegates.

After this coming weekend, the Lutheran Church in the Queensland District will have elected a Bishop to take over the work from Bishop Paul Smith. Here Bishop Paul Smith reflects on the promise of the Lord to “build his Church”.
