Opening of the Peace Cafe, Gatton

Peace Lutheran Church Gatton is excited to announce the opening of their “Evangelistic Barista Cafe Project”, the Peace Cafe.  Pastor Rob Edwards has put his poetry skills to good use once more, in celebration of the opening:

The time has come to sit and rest,
To stop and chat a while,
To hear a cheery “blessed morning”,
And to see a friendly smile.

The tummy tells me it’s smoko time
And the smell of coffee entices
I’m looking forward to the tasty brew
And the awesome home made slices.

The team has gathered the machine is heating
The barista has begun to barist,
The teachers are putting their orders in
To get their morning lift.

It’s the beginning of the Peace café,
A place for fond reflections
A place to build community,
A place to make connections.
