Ministry Summit Enhances Connecting Communities
Conference week for LCAQD began this year with a Ministry Summit, which saw ministry workers from all LCAQD agencies gathering to share their stories and learn from each other. This collaborative intent was reiterated throughout the week, during LCAQD Pastors’ Conference and Synod, as together the agencies of the LCAQD explored how we can grow and celebrate as ‘Connecting Communities of Witness and Service’. Here is some of the participant feedback from the Ministry Summit:
“People are eager to go great distances to find out how to work together in new ways.”
“It reinforced the great work of our church.”
“I heard many people who are willing to learn from each other and to be willing to listen, be vulnerable and hear God’s call into how we can be a part of his mission in the world.”
“It was great to hear stories from around the ministry areas. Also great to hear of the collaboration between Immanuel Early Learning Centre and the Retirement Village.”
“How broad LCAQD is – great to hear stories!!”
“I just had not thought about the amazing diversity represented in our schools.”
“Real and touching stories of real ministry.”
“I’ve learnt that there are many areas of the LCAQD that are doing really great work in spreading the love of God. This has been very encouraging to hear about. “
“The diverse nature of the services. I have a general awareness but it was wonderful to hear stories from the field. There are many stories, and we have a rich resource of people in the room to share these. “
“I just loved hearing people tell their stories of ministry – service.”
