When the LCAQD Convention of Synod 2023 gathered in June, the need for an additional 2023 session was foreshadowed.

The LCAQD Convention of Synod 2023 Popular Report has been collated and is available for download.

Pastors, delegates, staff and visitors attended the 55th Annual Convention of Synod over the weekend, at the BTP Conference Centre.

On Sunday morning Bishop Mark and Pastor David Schmidt facilitated a session titled ‘One Church. One Purpose. Many Ministries’. 

For the first time, the Synod theme was represented creatively through an art competition sponsored by the Lutheran Laypeople’s League.

LYQ Director Darren Pope and Chair Janelle Anderson presented to Synod delegates, declaring an immense joy and privilege to serve with LYQ.

Marilyn Jonas, a former LWQ Bursary recipient, presented on the Lutheran Women of Queensland’s work over the past year. 

Bishop Mark introduced the concept of one church, one purpose, many ministries, and spoke about a District-wide missional theology.
