On Sunday the 13th of October, there was an extraordinary event in the life of our Lutheran Church’s work amongst Chinese people. The recently-recognised “Queensland Asian Congregation” (QAC) extended a call to a Pastor.

Ministry & Mission are sponsoring two free workshops that will essentially provide an opportunity for attendees to grow in their capacity in proclaiming the gospel and toward certification. 

We operate as a number of departments and agencies, but LCAQD is ‘one church’. Paul Pantelimon shares an example of how these different sections of our LCAQD community are helping each other out.

In reflecting upon the life of Pastor George Rosendale, we find his mission has an impact not only his community, but how the gospel is communicated to both indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.

In this parable, the Lord Jesus is declaring that the story of the cross and resurrection is the way of justice, mercy and peace, which is the way we are called to travel as our story is caught up in his story.

Enlightening feedback from attendees of the 2019 Sent Conference encourages churches to look to the spirit to work with and through them as they consider church planting.

Our unity is a result of the word of God reaching our shores and the embracing of the love of God for all people in a very tangible way. We sing together, pray together and eat together.

‘Letting the Bible read you’ means allowing the Holy Spirit to form and transform us as we read.

We commend to the Lord, our brother in Christ, Pastor George Rosendale, who passed at Hopevale Wednesday 11 September 2019. He was a pioneer Aboriginal Lutheran Pastor in Queensland.
