St James Hervey Bay receives GCBF grant

St James Lutheran Church Hervey Bay was presented with a $25,000 grant on Friday, 23rd January 2026, issued by the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF). The fund is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, distributing approximately $60 million annually to support not-for-profit community groups. The GCBF funding helps these groups to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.

The grant, presented to St James by David Lee, State Member for Hervey Bay, will go towards the construction of a ramp at the church.
