FoLAQ biennial General Meeting and program

Friends of Lutheran Archives Queensland (FoLAQ) notice of biennial General Meeting & program

FoLAQ will present a brief overview of Lutheran Mission in New Guinea, followed by their biennial General Meeting, in the Parents’ and Friends’ Centre at St Peters Lutheran College, Indooroopilly (enter via Lohe Street.)

Lutheran mission work in New Guinea was launched from Queensland in 1888, and many Queenslanders have served there. FoLAQ will present a very brief overview of some aspects of the mission work in two programs: education and schools; and health and medical services. All presenters will bring personal experiences in the field to their talks.

The meeting will be followed by afternoon tea and a very brief Biennial General Meeting of FoLAQ at around 3:30pm.
