Convention of Synod

Book of Reports
Please see the Synod web page to download the Book of Reports. The pre-reading/pre-viewing this year includes:

• The Book of Reports, published May 12
• The Supplement to the Book of Reports: coming soon.
• Four videos, from LEQ, LYQ, Lutheran Services and M&M. Personnel from these departments will respond to questions on their written and video reports at the Convention.

Synod Offering
The LCAQD District Church Board proposes that the 2023 Convention of Synod Offering be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hope Vale for Mission and Ministry in Far North Queensland. EFT payments can be made to the following account:

Synod Sessions will be Livestreamed
Please check the Synod web page for Livestream details closer to the event.
All are welcome to attend Synod Sunday worship, 8:30am at Our Saviour Lutheran Church Rochedale. This service will also be streamed.

Art Competition
The winners of the inaugural LCAQD Art Competition will be announced at the Synod Dinner on Saturday night.

Synod Dinner
Our speaker for the Synod Dinner on Saturday evening is Michael Stolz. Michael has had an interesting life, as his bio attests. Now called according to God’s purpose to serve as Executive Director of Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS), Michael’s talk will focus on the significant work of ALWS.
