Bethlehem’s taste for trivia raises funds for United in Hope

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Glencoe recently put on a great night of food and fellowship as a trivia night fundraiser for United in Hope.

Said Brad Teakle, ‘We opened the night with prayer and reference to the FNQ ministry and the blessing of our indigenous brothers and sisters, including examples of people like Pastor George Rosendale. The quiz had a “Winter” theme and in the absence of snow, tables were decorated with locally grown cotton. A silent auction also operated, featuring plants, crafts, the best fruitcake in SE Qld and of course a bottle of red!

‘Quiz guests came from locals and congregations in the Toowoomba area. One of Glencoe’s gifts is hospitality and we thank God for a well run demonstration of that.’

The trivia night raised $1,500, bringing our United in Hope fundraising total to just shy of $50,000! A huge thank you goes out to everyone at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Glencoe for this outstanding result.
