Growing Vital Churches
United in Hope
At the 2025 LCAQD Convention of the Synod the following resolutions were passed:
That the Convention of Synod:
Approves the allocation of off-budget financial support of $60,000 per annum for three years (2026–2028) to enable and strengthen a Regional Ministry in Far North Queensland, serving the Hope Vale, Wujal Wujal and Cairns Parishes;
and
Encourages all LCAQD congregations to prayerfully and practically support the FNQ Mission Region through financial partnership, prayer, and other relational commitments, as an expression of our unity in Christ and shared missional responsibility (CotS25:030).
All LCAQD congregations and schools are encouraged to participate in this mission effort. We’re inviting every member to join the ‘$60K Challenge’ — give or raise $60 per person or $600 per congregation, each year, for the next three years. Together, we can reach our goal by Synod next June....and the June after that, and the June after that!
Below are some resources to assist you, your congregations, your schools, your family and your friends to come together and support the work of our Far North Queensland ministries so that we can be United in Hope together.
