The Feathered Choir

The Feathered Choir

As my sense of hearing awakens me on Christmas Eve morning

I become aware of a magpie song echoing all around and ascending to God, and the harmony when other magpies contribute to the sound.

They herald the first rays of light, dispelling the darkness, revealing God’s creation of freshly washed flora from the nightly rain.

As the light of dawn replaces night the whole winged choir combine and lift their harmonious praises of joy worshipping their creator and joining in with the heavenly multitude gathered around the throne of God.

I am blessed as I hear the feathered section of God’s choir adoring God with their song.
