St John’s harvests a bumper crop and bids farewell to locum pastor

St John’s Lutheran Church Emerald celebrated five young parishioners enjoying their first communion on Sunday, 23 February 2025. On the same occasion, four young people were confirmed and two new members were officially invited to the congregation by transfer, all the way from Canada. It was also the farewell service of pastor Peter Laihia, who served in Emerald as a locum pastor for three months. The church was full of 58 joyful and happy people, who appreciated the video message from LCAQD Bishop Mark Vainikka.
