Replenish/Grace Laced: A Camp for Women in Our Church

Replenish/Grace-Laced retreat is at Luther Heights at Coolum, on the Sunshine Coast, a wonderful venue with great accommodation, good food and all sorts of activities.

It is called Replenish because it offers the women in our church an opportunity to have a weekend away from a busy life: relaxing with friends, walking on the beach, swimming in the ocean, attending markets, socialising by playing board games and completing jigsaw puzzles – just to name a few of the activities on offer.

It does not have a formal programme so most of the weekend is free time, for the ladies to refresh and replenish their souls however they choose. We have a special time on Saturday morning with a devotion and Sunday is worship time.

In 2021 a few women asked if this camp could also  accommodate a time where pastors’ wives can come together to listen, share, encourage, pray, and care for each other in our roles as we serve God. We have been blessed by guest speakers talking about self-care, self-compassion, and mindful connection to God and His love. Listening and talking with others who are in similar circumstances is helpful, reassuring, and essential as we are able to relate to each other in the difficulties and joyous times we encounter in our lives. This part of the weekend is called Grace Laced, where we receive love and support through the grace of each other and our amazing Father God. It is also a wonderful time to meet and get to know the wives of other pastors in our State.
