The Expansion of Googa Outdoor Education Centre Needs Your Help

Googa Outdoor Education Centre and Christian Retreat has been in operation for over 30 years and is now in a phase of Expansion. Googa was first established in 1989 with significant input from our locals and school Communities.

30 years on, and we are developing a second campus on our neighbouring Ridge Property. The Ridge project has been in the process for the last 3 years and is now at an exciting point where all the new buildings are ready to be positioned. This new campus has a special addition that is the Douglas Church. Like the other buildings, this church has also been moved from Ballon Outdoor Education Centre.

Alongside this, we hope to keep developing our current campus with the construction of a large undercover area. This space will cater for cross-campus activities, wet weather and other community events. As part of this construction, we plan to install solar panels on this undercover area. We hope this church will be a special place for not only the students that come through the program, but others in our community.

Googa is inviting you to be a part of this journey by donating toward a campaign to help cover the expenses for the removal and relocation of this church and for the development of the new undercover area. They will be accepting donations through a MyCause site where we will keep our supporters updated on the project.

For donations over $100, you will have the opportunity to design a paver to be placed at either the Church or Undercover area. This paver can feature your name, the year you came to Googa as a student, a family name or a message to those who visit the centre.
