Preparing for this year’s Synod
This year’s Convention of the Synod will take place from Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June 2026 at St Andrew’s Lutheran College, Tallebudgera.
Delegates, please make note of the timing schedule below:
Friday 5 June: Registrations open 7:30am; Synod business 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday 6 June: Registrations open 7:30am; Synod business 8:30am – 5:00pm
Sunday 7 June: Sunday morning worship: 9:00am (no further business after worship). You are invited to join us for morning tea after the service, at St Andrew’s Lutheran Church.

Governance Change Program update sessions and Synod sessions for beginners
Ahead of the 2026 Convention of the Synod, the LCAQD Office has hosted online sessions covering Governance Change Program updates and information for delegates who are new to the Synod process.

We encourage delegates to attend the sessions most relevant to their needs as they prepare for the convention.
2026 Synod offering
The 2026 Convention of the Synod offering will be directed to the United in Hope Far North Queensland Lutheran Ministries Appeal to enable ministry support to the parishes of Cairns, Hope Vale and Wujal Wujal.
