Celebrating the Season of Creation

The Season of Creation runs from 1 September to 4 October each year. This year’s theme is ‘Peace with Creation’. Here are some ways to celebrate:

Worship together

Hold a themed worship service: The LCANZ Commission on Worship and Lutheran Earthcare have provided worship resources on the LCANZ Worship Planning Site.

Queensland Churches Environmental Network (QCEN) is holding an ecumenical outdoor opening service for Season of Creation at 12 noon, Monday 1 September 2025, at the Lychee Tree Lawn, Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens.

Immerse yourself

QCEN also have a photographic and art display at St John’s Anglican Cathedral, Ann St Brisbane, from 2 -30 September 2025. Drop in anytime 9:30am – 4:30pm daily.

Go deeper 

QCEN have prepared a series of 34 daily devotions, available as a free  smart phone app (search “Season of Creation” on the Apple or Android App store.) It is also available as a PDF file or book, here.

Take action
