District training for congregational councils this August
As we continue to support and encourage those serving in the life and ministry of our congregations, the Office of the District is pleased to offer a Congregational Council Training Day on Saturday, 22 August 2026. You can find the agenda here.
This gathering builds on the monthly training opportunities that have been offered throughout the year and is designed to equip and encourage those serving in leadership within our congregations. It will also provide an opportunity to learn together, share experiences, and strengthen our ministry as we serve God’s people.
To assist with planning, we ask that those wishing to attend in person:
- Please advise Adéle Weldon adele.weldon@qld.lca.org.au by Monday, 3 August
- Indicate any dietary requirements in your RSVP
- Indicate your travel arrangements – example, will you be travelling to Milton by car (so we can organise parking)
The training will also be available via live stream for those unable to attend in person. Knowing attendance numbers will help us confirm the venue details, currently planned as:
