Meet Mary Obara, front-line international aid worker in Kenya and Somalia.

ALWS invites you to meet Mary Obara. who leads our Lutheran church’s international aid work in Kenya and Somalia. Mary wants to say ‘asante’, meaning thank you, to you!

‘Jambo! Hello! I am very excited to visit you in Australia, sharing the success of your work in Kenya and Somalia. At present we are suffering the effects of a severe drought. Your kindness is invaluable. Especially for many girls who are often in danger of early marriage or missing out on education. They are precious. I look forward to meeting you, knowing that your kindness enables us to work together to change lives.’
