Fill us with yourself
Fill us with yourself
Pour out your mercy on us
we don’t know what we do
our words are sharp and hard
or so benign and weak
Still our minds to quiet
the rage within shrieks loudly
it festers, boils, erupts
believes the story that it tells
You know us very well
the pain we suffer from
you do not blame us for it
want to heal and soothe
Bring us closer to yourself
your healing presence
may we be willing to surrender
all we think we know
Bathe us in your mercy
hear our cries to you
dress us with compassion
fill us with yourself.
