Nazareth Lutheran Church, Woolloongabba – Christmas & Advent at Nazareth

Nazareth Lutheran Church in Woolloongabba is entering the Christmas season with warmth, joy and a full program of worship and celebration. While the 29^th November Evening Nordic Christmas Market and Carols have already blessed the local community, the heart of the season is just beginning.

This year, Nazareth is offering a special series of Advent Services, held each Sunday as we prepare for the coming of Christ:
30 November, 7 December, 14 December and 21 December – all at 8:30am. These gatherings offer a quiet, hope-filled rhythm in the lead-up to Christmas, grounded in Scripture, prayer and the life we share together as God’s people.

On Christmas Eve at 11:00pm, the church will host its traditional Carols & Readings service, enriched this year by a choir to lift the beauty of the choral experience even further. It promises to be a moving candlelit celebration of the birth of our Saviour. Carols will be a mixture of the usual favourites as well as carols coming from the German tradition.  A choir, formed especially for the evening, will sing several choral anthems from the season as well.

Christmas morning continues with a joyful Divine Service at 8:30am, followed by Sunday Worship on 28 December, also at 8:30am.
