LCAQD training & communication sessions for Congregation Councils
Dear Congregational Council Members,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
At our recent Synod gathering, a clear need emerged for continued training and development opportunities for those serving across the District.
In response, we are pleased to share that the District will be hosting regular training and communication sessions. These sessions will cover a range of topics, including governance, employment matters, risk and financial management, and leadership development—all with the goal of equipping God’s people to serve His Church faithfully and well. We recently requested your priority needs and will be using this information to inform our sessions.
Our initial session will be held on Tuesday 21 October from 5:30pm – 7pm. Teams Meeting invite details as below:

The first session will be led by John Hoffman (Deputy DEO) and Kit Scott-Davies (Snr Human Resource & IR Advisor) to discuss employment related nuts and bolts including award matters (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award focus) and other employment related legislative and policy updates.

It will be led by John Hoffman (Deputy DEO) and Kit Scott-Davies (Snr Human Resource & IR Advisor), continuing to address employment-related matters. Special guest Michael Bowden (LCA HR Manager), will provide an update on the implementation of the new payroll system that is live from 3 November and answer any questions.
More training sessions will be provided next year.
