Bishop Term of Service Increased by a Year

Synod Delegates this Saturday voted in favour of the LCAQD Bishop’s term being increased to four years, in line with other districts. The change allows a more reasonable time for the Bishop to discharge his duties across a District the size of the LCAQD. It is also desirable for succession planning to have the First Assistant Bishop and Bishop elections at different times. This change will come into effect from future elections.
