Farewell Tiffany, Hello Rachel!

We officially welcome Rachel Koopmans to the role of Communications Advisor to the LCAQD. Tiffany Kneen (previous Communications Officer since May 2019) has stepped down as she now prepares for her first child.

Rachel joins us from Good Shepherd Para Vista in South Australia, where she was the Media and Administration Officer. Now living in East Ballina, Rachel will work remotely from home but commute to the Brisbane office on a regular basis. “I’m feeling a great sense of excitement in joining the team at LCAQD, albeit with a real sense that I have some inspiring shoes to fill,” she shared. “But there is also the wonderful feeling that I have been welcomed with affection into another branch of the same family.”

Prior to her time at GSPV, Rachel served for eight years in ministry, in an inner city mission. As well as her formal qualifications in theology and ministry, Rachel has a background in journalism and administration. “My heart is oriented towards coming alongside people and facilititating opportunities for them to step into life in its fullest expression – the life God has for them,” she explained. That vocation informs her work in Communications as she seeks to share God’s love creatively with others.  She is also parent to four stupendous humans!
