40 Days a Lenten Devotion and Prayer Guide
This year we are delighted to share devotions written by people partnering with LCA International Mission from all over the world. The writers include people in Australia and New Zealand who volunteer and serve in various ways, church workers from Papua New Guinea and South East Asia, as well as those supporting these missions from far off places like Germany and Norway.
Through their reflections and prayer requests, the writers invite you to journey with them through this Lenten season as they explore the psalms and share the comfort and hope they bring.
Psalms has always been considered the prayerbook of the church and through these inspired words we find prayers for every occasion, whether it be thanksgiving or lament, praise or despair. The psalms focus our prayers on the God who saves and remind us of our place in His divine plan. Just as Jesus prayed the psalms throughout His earthly life, we too can use them to pray through our joys and struggles, especially at those times when we cannot give voice to our innermost groanings.
It is our prayer that these devotions bless you as they point you to Christ
and the hope we have in Him.
