We are delighted to announce that Lutheran Services will be the new operators of the Cooinda Aged Care Centre in Gympie. The 164-bed centre will be their third service in Gympie, joining Lutheran Services’ Zion Home Care and the Zion Retirement Village. Local leaders of Zion Lutheran Congregation in Gympie are also delighted with this opportunity to partner with Lutheran Services in sharing the love of Jesus through service and mission. Christian Religious Instruction (RI) is a vital ministry that is carried out quietly and humbly and coordinated locally, so we don’t always know which LCAQD members currently teach RI. If you teach RI please compete this brief survey. Or if you prefer you can send your details to kathy.matuschka@qld.lca.org.au. If you know of someone else within the LCAQD who teaches RI, please share this infromation with them.

Grace Lutheran Church, Redcliffe QLD will be celebrating its 75th anniversary on Sunday October 17, 2021 with a thanksgiving service and morning tea. All past and present members are most welcome to attend. The service will be held in the Chapel of Grace Lutheran College, Anzac Avenue Rothwell at 9:00am. The LCA’s Constitution and By-laws makes provision for the appointment of an alternate parish delegate for Convention of General Synod in the situation that a parish’s elected delegate cannot attend. If you are willing to serve the Church in this way you can register your interest with the Office of Bishop by contacting Bronagh Quinn: 3511 4049 or bronagh.quinn@qld.lca.org.au
