ALC’s Festival of Learning
ALC’s Festival of Learning will be held online from Wednesday, 16 February to Saturday, 19 February and provides an opportunity for people to come together in a celebration of education, faith, church-work and theology. The festival will be an ecumenical celebration that includes introductory sessions to the biblical languages, theology, practical and applied theology, Lutheran doctrine and thought and dialogues with the wider church. On Saturday 15 January, an underwater volcano eruption and tsunami in Tonga caused severe damage. The tsunami is estimated to have impacted around 1800+ households’ food supply across Tonga (around 5000 people). An undersea cable was damaged, cutting communications.
