Like a fingerprint, every church is different. Every church is shaped by the unique people, personalities and experiences that God has drawn together for a specific purpose.  There is value in utilising tools to help congregations understand their unique character, and how they utilise their strengths for potential growth. Next month, every congregation in the LCAQD will have the opportunity to participate in an NCLS (National Church Life) survey. The Holy Trinity, Nobby 80th Anniversary will be celebrated as a thanksgiving service – 10:00am Sunday 31 October 2021 (with HC). First Assistant Bishop for LCAQD Rev Ben Hentschke will be the guest preacher for the occasion. Please let past members and friends know so that they may have the chance to join in. The Governance Advisory Committee (GAC) will today have held its fifth meeting. The GAC continues to consider structure options as well as any impacting legal matters, the assurance framework, and robust culture attributes required within the LCAQD. Please refer to the LCAQD website for more details about the governance project.

The Commission on Worship has created a series of short videos with accompanying fact sheets as a guide to the key elements of worship. They have been prepared with a service preparation focus, but could easily be used in wider teaching. Nominations are open for the Lutheran Nurse of the Year award for 2022. The award was launched in 2020, to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who is recognised as the founder of modern nursing.  It recognises faithful and outstanding service during the preceding calendar year by a Registered or Enrolled Nurse who is an active member of a LCANZ.
