This year the LCAQD Ministry Summit and District Pastors’ conference will be held in parallel, under the theme
Grounded in Grace.
Why Grace?
- Grace is central to our Lutheran identity.
- God’s grace always needs to be unpacked for new contexts.
- No matter how much we learn about God’s grace, none of us will ever get to the bottom of it.
The conference will be held at Redeemer College Chapel, Rochedale. Pastors begin on Wednesday May 31, and then the key LCAQD-wide events are Groundwork and Groundswell. Information about each is below.
Why do we have an LCAQD-wide conference series?
As LCAQD agencies, we believe that we are better together. We understand ourselves as one church, with one purpose and many ministries. We have over 200 ‘grace communities’ in various contexts, all here to serve the communities around us.
To celebrate and explore our identity, we’ve previously held LCAQD-wide Ministry Summits in 2019 and 2022. Watch Bishop Mark Vainikka’s keynote address from the 2022 Ministry Summit.
Thanks to the LLL volunteers in congregations and young adult leaders can attend for free. For Groundwork you will need to email Kathy for a code; for Groundswell select your voluntary role and you can complete the registration at no charge. Further details are below.
Registrations closed 17th May 2023.
