  • Tuesday 2 June: Conference day 1 (8:00am registration, 9:00am worship, dinner)
  • Wednesday 3 June: Conference day 2 (retreat focus)

Program Highlights

  • Retreat Day with Patrick Oliver: Patrick Oliver, Queensland-based spiritual director and retreat facilitator, will lead our Wednesday retreat style day, guiding us in deeper engagement with prayer, awareness of the soul, and attentive, scripture-shaped living in ministry.
  • Tuesday DPC Dinner: Pizza Fusion returns to cater our Tuesday evening meal. Many will remember their wood-fired pizzas from the 2023 conference — a relaxed and generous space to reconnect and share together.

Please note: Congregations/Parishes and other entities are billed directly regardless of attendance as this is a compulsory conference for all active LCAQD Pastors (with provision made for part-time pastors). The Tuesday DPC dinner cost is included in registration fee. The dinner is intended as an additional time of mutual conversation and consolation.

2026 LCAQD Pastors Conference logo – meaning and symbolism

Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)

Paul exhorts us in this passage to adopt an attitude of God-consciousness and surrender that we must carry within us at all times – through joy, in hardship and in ordinary days, as a way of life and not just as a one-off event. We pray without ceasing because God is always in conversation with us, actively engaged in our lives. The 'will of God in Christ Jesus' is his great love for us expressed through the One who 'came near'. Thus to pray without ceasing is to come continuously into the presence of God, in love, in worship, and in gratitude. Pastorally, a life lived in the presence of God has its outward expression in the way we demonstrate faithfulness and trust in the Saviour, and it informs how we shepherd the people of God in our care.

Logo concept: the cross as living rhythm

Symbol:
  • A simple cross formed from interwoven lines, all set within a circle, suggesting unbroken prayer
Meaning:
  • The vertical lines: prayers 'rising like incense', directed to God
  • The inner ‘circle’: thanksgiving lived out among the people of God, like arms wrapping around them
  • The unbroken stroke: 'without ceasing'
Colour:

Purple communicates:

  • Prayerful seriousness/holy attentiveness; purple reads as reflective, weighty, 'set apart'
  • Repentance + renewal; it carries the emotional tone of confession, humility, and return to God
  • Pastoral depth: it is the colour of “inner life/spiritual formation.”
Why it fits a pastors conference:

A pastors conference is a space for re-centering, hearing the Word, being restored, and strengthening vocation. Purple naturally signals that tone: reverent, formative, spiritually grounded.
