In a state as large as Queensland, our Lutheran congregations are as varied as the climate! Some are connected with other Lutheran Agencies such as schools or aged care facilities, while others work collaboratively with other denominations or in other contexts to serve their local community. We are united in our call to grow as people who engage others with God's love in everyday life.
The Lutheran Church Queensland District supports congregations in these ways:
Ministry and Mission
The LCAQD Ministry and Mission team is dedicated to supporting congregations in their reflection and planning, and fostering collaboration with other Lutheran agencies and other organisations in their local ministry and mission.
Ministry and Mission resources
We offer and administer LLL Mission Grants to support congregations in their mission, and also support disaster and drought response processes.
Supply of pastors
The District Bishop oversees the calling process for pastors, and assists congregations to access locums during congregational vacancies.
