Way Forward

After extensive consultation with the broader community of the LCANZ the Way Forward Project has delivered the final iteration of its Framework.

The Way Forward project is now in its final phase – Preparation and Prayer – which will run until General Synod in early October.

The General Church Board and the College of Bishops has removed the Conference component from the Way Forward proposed framework.

In October Synod delegates will be voting on a proposal for the LCANZ to function as ‘one church with two different practices of ordination’.

After consulting with the broader church for feedback the Way Forward Project is considering amending the current iteration of the framework.

A framework by which the LCANZ could operate as one church with two different practices of ordination has been released.

The Way Forward working groups are in the development phase of the final framework that will be put to General Synod in October as a proposal for how the LCANZ might operate as one church with two practices of ordination.

The College of Bishops, in conjunction with the Pastoral Care Working Group of the Way Forward Project, has launched a program to address pastoral care needs within the church.
