Way Forward

In a post-Synod message to the church, LCANZ Bishop Paul Smith encouraged us to pause and reflect on the decisions made by the Synod.

In the wake of the Synod’s decision to allow the ordination of both men and women in the LCANZ, I believe these words from St Paul hold deep significance for us as a church family.

Thousands of people have engaged with the Way Forward project’s face-to-face and online district information gatherings around the LCANZ.

As we approach the Convention of General Synod in Adelaide, it’s crucial for us to reflect on our journey as a community of faith.

The final face-to-face gathering in Australia will be held at Concordia College Toowoomba this Saturday 14 September, at 10:30am. Refreshments will be served prior.

Plan to attend your local gathering: to explore with others what the Way Forward might mean for you and your congregation.

Delegates or other church leaders wanting to present a Way Forward information session in their congregations are invited to use a presentation pack created especially for this purpose
