A Christmas message from the District Executive Officer, LCAQD
A Christmas message from the District Executive Officer, LCAQD
Dear LCAQD Leaders and friends,
May the blessings of Christmas be your blessing.
I love this quote from a sermon preached by Dr Martin Luther one Sunday after Christmas:
“Who is there whom this sight would not comfort? The power of sin, death, hell, conscience, and guilt is overcome if you come to adore this gurgling Babe, and believe that He is come, not to judge you, but to save you.”
The folks in the Office of the District and Bishop have worked hard this year to serve our member congregations, departments, DCB and visitors. We have a small but very dedicated team, and we have a sense of responsibility in service to you. We pray our service has blessed you in some small way. Even dedicated folks need a rest and so the team here will be taking holidays variously across December and January. Please note that the Office of the District and Bishop will close at lunch time on Friday 20 December 2024, and we will reopen at 9am on Thursday 2 January 2025.
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and rest a little, may His peace and grace fill your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Christmas Blessings,
Trevor Ruthenberg
District Executive Officer at Lutheran Church of Australia, Queensland District.
