Lutheran Women of Queensland (LWQ) Report to Synod

Marilyn Jonas, a former LWQ Bursary recipient, presented on the association’s work over the past year. 

She spoke about their dedication to Bible studies, devotions and cooking, and the joy of resuming fellowship, hosted by the Darling Downs Zone, after COVID. 

Marilyn shared that last financial year, LWQ raised $38,000 for mission activities both in Australia and internationally. 

The LWQ Retreat and Convention was held in May at Maroochy Waters on the Sunshine Coast, with a special visit from the God Squad motorcyclists – and some women even enjoyed motorbike rides in addition to Bible study and fellowship. The Convention theme was ‘Courage to tell our story‘.
