Governance Change Project Update
Governance Change Project Update
The Governance Transformation Committee (GTC) is committed to ensuring the 11 governance change resolutions agreed to by 2022 Convention of Synod are implemented. By achieving this we are reinforcing our Lutheran culture, through subsidiarity and synodical based church being “Church Together” i.e. “We not Me” approach. Through structural reform our Lutheran Identity and church sustainability is strengthened such that our church mission and objects remain the foundation of all we do.
For further information and updates on our progress to date please review our Governance Change Project webpage at the below link, including all related communications: Governance Change Project – Qld District
The timelines are tight and thus a lot of activity is required in the build up to our Synodical Convention in June, however the departments, various working parties and legal advisors are working closely to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with our two overarching governance principles of the LCAQD being Meaningful Participation, and Productive Deliberation.
