Alondra Residences Service of Dedication
On Sunday 20 October, the Lutheran community gathered at Alondra Residences to witness Bishop Paul Smith dedicate the new boutique retirement community to the glory of God.
Lutheran Services CEO, Nick Ryan, was then joined by the first residents Chris and Geoff Kirton in a ribbon cutting to officiate the building opening.
Over 100 people attended the service of dedication, including Pastor Mark Nitschke of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nundah, Pastor Martin Scharnke, Lutheran Services Interim Executive Lead Chaplaincy (Identity and Spiritual Formation), Stuart Jaeschke, Chairperson of Council for Lutheran Services and residents from Zion Aged Care, which is co-located with Alondra Residences.
All enjoyed an afternoon tea and celebrated the contributions of the congregations that helped achieve this milestone.
